Overview of Time and Attendance and Staffing and Scheduling

Time and Attendance and Staffing and Scheduling represents a full range of applications designed exclusively for the healthcare setting, to address the unique challenges created by a diverse, 24/7 work force.

Each application is fully integrated with the others to provide health care organizations with a comprehensive labor resource management system. However, each application is also able to function as a stand alone system.

The following applications are available in Time and Attendance and Staffing and Scheduling.

Staffing and Scheduling: This application automatically creates schedules, filling the needed staff openings with qualified employees. The system verifies that any licenses and continuing education classes are up to date. It also checks for employees' approved time off requests and schedules around them.
Self Scheduling: This application allows employees to create their own schedules by selecting the dates and times they want to work. If allowed, employees can trade shifts with other employees or offer unwanted shifts.
Time and Attendance: This application tracks the times an employee works as well as the department and work assignment. The system then calculates the pay, including overtime, shift differential, and holiday pay. Employees can "clock" into the system using their employee badges, using the Quick Badge feature on their computer, or the TimeCall feature by using authorized phones. Supervisors can monitor employee time cards online and make any adjustments.
Education Tracking: This application tracks the education requirements for employees, including expiration dates. Employees are notified on their Home page in the portal or by email when the class expiration dates are coming up.
ActiveRoster: This application allows supervisors to monitor when employees actually clock into the system. It compares employee schedules with the actual clocking information, and flags employees who are scheduled but have not clocked in or have clocked in early or late.
